About Transport Models
Transport Models is a model and hobby shop, situated near the town centre of Preston. It was established in 1989 with the present partners taking control some 5 years ago, since when, it has expanded and offers an immense range of products for sale.
We have become the biggest stockist of plastic toy soldiers in the North West and attract collectors from far and wide who visit the shop or buy mail order
Mark Houlding, one of the partners, has an extensive knowledge of the plastic kit industry. Through his guidance, the shop is now one of the largest and most respected stockists of plastic kits in the North of England. Mark's personal hobby has always been model railways, and this experience has proved beneficial when offering advice to customers. The second partner, Liz Whitfield, generally manages the diecast department.
Transport Models is a Corgi Gold Star stockist centre and has an agency for selling the Tekno range of British Model Trucks.
As well as selling new products, the partners are always seeking to purchase personal collections, whether large or small.
